Today, Scott Chambers and Rhys Frake-Waterfield announced the official Twisted Childhood Universe and on Twitter/X, they announced a new title will be revealed on March 22.

The fact the first Blood and Honey got shit on pretty much across the board makes this proposed universe and extremely ballsy move. I haven't see the first movie (and probably won't) but I do hope the second one redeems the idea and allows them to make bigger and better films. Either that or they're just setting themselves up for failure.

The sequel has scored a fresh 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 6 reviews as of today, which will have the film in the US on a 3-day theaterical run. I'm planning to go Thursday due to personal commitments this week.

The RT rating went down to 53% but still better than part 1. I'm going tonight as I got my ticket.

This was a massive improvement over the original! They even have a story mixed in and added a meta-like subplot where the first film's events, known as the 100 Acre Wood Massacre, was made into a film called "Blood and Honey", which a kid is watching while supporting character Lexy (Tallulah Evans) is babysitting. Scott Chambers is great as Christopher Robin, who has been deemed a pariah because of the 1st film's events.

They upped the ante on the kills this time. There's at least 30 seen with Rhys-Frake Waterfield saying in his intro he had to cut 6 to 7 that he shot for pacing reasons, but promises to include them in the DVD/Blu-Ray edition. Tigger is the highlight. Think Freddy's one-liners meshed with Wolverine's Berzerker Rage with his claws. Owl is the mastermind of the group while Pooh brings it all, even going from paying homage to both Slumber Party Massacre and Terrifier in a matter of seconds during the whole 20-minute rave massacre finale. One of the best kills early in the film is a Prowler-like homage where a hunter gets a shotgun drilled through his skull and I don't mean pulling the trigger either.

The intro also introduced an exclusive clip from "Bambi: The Reckoning" with director Dan Allen introducing the clip; as well as talking about "Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare", "Pinocchio Unstrung" (think of the wooden doll as a Chucky-like menace and they are even getting Chucky's designer to help create Pinocchio and of course, they mention "Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble", which will be shot in early 2025.

Altogether, this was shit tons better than the original film and has a very shocking twist to the lore thanks to Simon Callow's character.
