Thoughts on Replicant (2001) with Van Damme?

For me it's probably his best direct to video movie. He does very well playing the brutal serial killer and his  innocent replicant.

I love Replicant! Van Damme did a bunch of awesome DTV flicks in the 90s and 00s. Even some of the ones from now are great. It's definitely up there with flicks like In Hell, Legionnaire, Wake of Death and Double Team. I just think it was too bad he let himself go to substance abuse. But I'm happy he overcame it in the end and got his family back.

This is my 2nd favourite Van Damme flick after 'Knock Off'. The over the top villainy of the serial killer (his escape from hospital is hilarious) made the movie. He really should have continued to work with Hong Kong directors.

Van Damme's collaborations with Ringo Lam are among his best works. This movie looks good so it's on my movie watch list.

I thought it was pretty good. The premise is interesting and the I enjoyed JCVD's performances.

I remember enjoying this. The action was solid. Thought it had a good story premise, too.
