I'm trying to put together a rough production timeline of some movies by going through old HK movie magazines (I know this isn't going to yield 100% accurate results but it's best I can do at the moment), and I've been wondering looking at these magazines whether the cover dates were the same month as publication, or a month ahead, (ie a Dec issue released in Nov, etc). Do any of the collectors here know what the standard practice was?
