Vincent Wang (fight choreographer on The Great Wall) directs Loi Bao, a Vietnamese sci-fi thriller with actor Cuong Seven playing "a dying man who undergoes a life-saving head transplant onto a new body only to bear witness to the residual after-effects of its mysterious owner: near boundless superhuman skills and fighting prowess, disparate memories, and a relentless enemy looking to settle the score once and for all."  The movie opens (in Vietnam?) on December 22nd.

Movie info is at -

Cuong Seven has appeared in only a couple of movies, Than Tuong (a romance) and Truy Sat (aka Tracer, a martial arts action movie).  He has a Facebook page, but it's all in Vietnamese.

Fantasia 2018 review of the Vietnamese movie Loi Bao at https://screenanarchy.com/2018/07/fantasia-2018-review-loi-bao.html

I posted the Loi Bao Official Trailer in this thread on November 16, 2017.  It is directed by Victor Vu.

"Loi Bao is a fun martial arts oddity" -  "An action film with high concept science fiction as [its] backdrop, Loi Bao stars Cuong Seven, a relative newcomer on the scene in Vietnam.  He's starred in some recent action films, but nothing that has made it out of the country so far... Seven plays Tam, a successful graphic novelist who, while finishing up his new superhero project, discovers that his body is riddled with cancer and he only has two weeks to live... Little does he know that his family friend Uncle Ma, is not only a humble farmer, but also an experimental surgeon who has perfected a procedure that might just save Tam's life.  Head transplants.  That's right, Uncle Ma wants to transplant Tam's head onto a fresh body to give him another chance to live a full life... Ma and Tam stumble across a freshly murdered gangster who just happens to be a perfect match.  Ma performs the procedure - complete with some dodgy Frankenstein-ish make up FX - and everything is right as rain.  That is, until Tam discovers that his new body has super strength and agility and just happens to know kung fu.  Tam becomes Loi Bao, a vigilante and local superhero who just wants to help people, but it turns out that the body he received in the transplant wasn't as free of obligations as he'd thought, and someone else wants it back.  From there, the chase is on... Loi Bao is good fun and hopefully a harbinger of a new Vietnamese action renaissance that will bring back the spirit of the [Vietnamese martial arts] films from a decade ago."  Read the review.

Update (September 2019): a new review of Loi Bao (English title is now The Immortal) is now posted at https://filmcombatsyndicate.com/the-immortal-review-an-undying-tale-of-ghoulish-penance-that-definitely-doesnt-die/

The date got pushed out and will now be released on 13th March. I recently got an opportunity to check this one out, and gave it the full review treatment over at COF -

Watched this on Tubi last weekend. It was alright. Could stand to have the running time chopped by about 20 minutes and the plot needed tightening up. The action is solid though. There are some quick cuts in the editing of the fights, but it's not hyper and it's not overly used. The fights are few but good and come in short bursts. Still there is some pretty inventive sequences. I really wish there had been a bit more action with longer sequences.

It's worth a watch.
