The Sui Dynasty (A.D. 581 - 618) - I think the Jet Li's Shaolin Temple is set therein Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Era (A.D. 907 - 979) Are there any notable movies, TV series, or even Wuxia novels that y'all know are set in any of these dynasties? There is also an ATV series called Genghis Khan for the Sung period. For the Qing period, I would add the TV series Chronicles of Emperor Qian Long part I and part II. I don't remember in which period Adam Cheng's series The assassins is set, probably several ones, since it tells the story of the assassins Jing Ke, Zhou Xuan, Nie Zheng and I don't remember the fourth one's name. For the period of Chu and Han, there is the series The conqueror's story (TVB) For the last period mentioned in the above post, there is also the TVB series Fate takes a hand aka Du Xin Wu. I'm sure that there must be a lot more regarding the TV series, but I'm not skilled enough in Chinese History to be able to know which series is related to which period.
