"penalties for doing that were as severe back then"

Im pretty sure they hung people back then for drugs in certain countries , over 500 grams is automatic death sentence in Malaysia i believe

Yeah, he was an idiot for doing it regardless. One of the worst parts was having the stuff addressed to Wu Ngan. That guy loved him so much that he probably volunteered, but still.

Bruce should have used an alias like Hu Shi (who's she?).

In his obituary for Bruce in a magazine, Phil Ochs mentioned that one of the rumours in L.A. was that he died from cocaine.

Thanks, man.

I looked it up, but I can only find a portion of it. Do you have the whole thing?

Well uhh, not to justify the use of serious drugs, but let's not forget that the man who is called the greatest fighter (in modern times) in the world, period, Jon Bones Jones, also had a serious drug problem, yet he is still unbeaten in the ring? In other words, the thing most people evidently admired about Bruce Lee, was not affected by his drug use.

His back injury prevented him from being at his best on-screen and off. It shows how much ability he had, to still be a great Martial Artist despite this ailment. As for the drug use, in the end it was affecting his ability to perform on-screen. The twitch Fred Weintraub mentioned in Curse of The Dragon?, that has since been connected to his cocaine usage. It’s a double-edged sword, the substance were hampering his health and psychical ability and at the same time enhancing it. The back pain isn’t going to be so bad if you using something illegal to numb it. It not like its helping the issue but simply covering it up temporarily. A bit like athletes who have cortisone injections so they can keep on competing. It doesn’t cure their problems/injuries, it’s just cover them up for a bit longer.
