I briefly remember not liking movie very much but that is not fault of Wei Pai. If recall correctly he did very fine with his action scenes, on same level with magnificent Last hurrah for chivalry.Movie just was not that interesting but during years opinion can change. Back then when saw some early chang cheh efforts set in modern hk would never have thought many years later I will enjoy lot movies did not appreciate 1st time. Another member of the Facebook group I talked about yesterday remembers to have read somewhere (he doesn't remember where) that it's Helen Poon who should have played the Snake in the original script of Five Deadly Venoms. I definitely feel like The Cheeky Chap could have been improved! I thought it was charming in its own way, and I enjoyed his character. Although I can see why it wouldn’t be for everyone since there wasn’t necessarily anything huge happening like in some other films, for example. The action was quite good! If you do revisit it, I would love to hear what you think of it. That is one of the interesting things about revisiting movies. These are from 劍客與刀客 (unsure of the English title), where his character is quite happy while talking to Sun Chien’s character! Revenge of Beautiful Killer is another one that I can think of where he displays a variety of emotions! I’ve seen this one called Tolerant Hero in English, but just in case, the Chinese title is 俠骨柔情. I’ve noticed Wei Pai, Sun Chien, Chiang Tao, and Leung Kar-Yan in the clips I’ve seen. These are some of the pictures I’ve found when looking it up. The second one is a screenshot I took from one of the videos! I was looking for the English name of another one of the series he was in since I've been making a list of all the Venoms' TV series when I came across that one ! So, I was watching some episodes on YouTube. He does look quite handsome. I love the outfit they have him wearing too. I was quite surprised when Wei Pai showed up around 52 minutes into the film! He was only in it for the movie that played on screen. It didn't last long, but it was quite neat to see him there!
