Member AlbertV Posted April 26, 2022 Member Share Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) Sony Pictures has announced at Cinema-Con that El Muerto, a luchador who faced off against Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match in the comics and then teamed up with the wall crawler against another wrestler, El Dorado, will be getting his own movie. Latin music superstar Bad Bunny will be playing the character and Bunny does have wrestling experience, having a short run in WWE alongside Damian Priest in a war against The Miz in 2021. Member AlbertV Posted January 30 Author Member Share Posted January 30 Over a year later and here are some updates: 7 months ago, Sony pulled El Muerto from the Sony calendar and then the strikes happened. Bad Bunny had also pulled out of the film due to a schedule conflict. Today, Sony announced they are reviving the film and a replacement to take on the titular role is now on the way.
