Member Shaolin Patriot Posted February 19, 2022 Member Share Posted February 19, 2022 Chinese-American martial arts film actor, Leo Fong, founder of the Wei Kuen Do (Way of the Integrated Fist) style, and long-time friend of Bruce Lee passed away yesterday, Feb. 18. Cause of death unknown at this point. I have fond memories of seeing his low budget films in the theater: Killpoint (1984) and Low Blow (1986), opposite genre favorites Richard Roundtree, Cameron Mitchell and James Lew. https://topinfoguide.com/scholarship/leo-fong-death-chinese-american-actor-martial-artist-leo-fong-is-dead-cause-of-death/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Fong#:~:text=Leo Fong (Chinese%3A 馮天倫,directing since the early 1970s. 2
Member Yihetuan Posted June 22, 2022 Member Share Posted June 22, 2022 I listened to a couple podcasts with Leo Fong and he sure can spin a yarn. It must've been hell to grow up as the only Asian in a town full of hicks and rednecks but he didn't let the racial animus of the times deter him. He's a prime example of "turn the other cheek" & "keep your head down and don't make trouble" never works because he confronted his racist bullies and made them pay for the taunts and he got the respect he deserved through his fists and actions.
