Probably more of an indie movie in scale but that doesn't take away any of its qualities. It's beautifully shot with mostly dark glooming images. Also nice to see a mix of cantonese, mandarin and malay. Giving it a distinguished flavour to its origin. Not a lot of action really but some good bits here and there. I'd definitely see this more as a crime drama. Great performances especially from Sunny Pang and Eric Chan. @One Armed Boxer having recently watched Hand Rolled Cigarette, Fly By Night gave me a very similar vibe. Although the former has a better and more socially relevant story. BTW there's a recurring oldskool kung fu poster in the movie. I'd love to know the title of...
