But seriously, the initial purchase and restoration efforts aside, Celestial proved to be one of, if not THEE worst companies that could have taken this on. They've been shitting the bed for 20 fucking years now. So many opportunities wasted, so much red tape bullshit, corporate greed and not understanding the product or the consumers. It'sad.

 While I agree there's plenty of missed opportunities including a number of movies never released on DVD and and no real news on therin bluray wise, they still put out more than any other company out there

costs differ wildly it seems, depending from where they are bought from. Have no current idea.

Coming to mind: 88 licencing total worthless movies like "HUMAN GODDESS or CASINO TYCOON" , which have no audience anywhere, adviced by no-idea-of-anything- Calum, instead of PSYCHOPATH: crazy.

Great to see the clips from this unreleased Shaw movies. Hope there is a distributor out there who release Psychopath and Lady Exterminator - the clips are very nice.  And i think these are titels who sell very good if a BluRay is coming out even if the are not perfect remastered.

I already said ir, but I would love to see Payment  in blood in Mandarin and English subbed.

And Hellgate seems a movie as interesting as Raw Passions, Dark Rendezvous and the look alike movies already released by Celestial...

I have a copy of Redbeard on DVD. It's obviously not restored but it does have English subtitles. It's not impossible to watch either.

Back in 2006, a poster started a thread "Only 99 titles still to be released in 2006/2007/2008" in which they listed 114 films yet to be released by Celestial. Redbeard 紅鬍子 (1971) was on that list but apparently didn't make the cut. Wonder if it ever got a remastered release elsewhere?

The latter two aren't Celestial or Shaw Brothers licensed titles, they've come from Hammer.

I've heard GODFATHERS FURY is under a rights dispute over chain of ownership.  Similar problem with DEADLY ANGELS(which had some Korean money involved).

The copy I got looks like it was recorded from a TV channel in Thailand or Indonesia.

yeah, same here. It has a watemark on the upper left side of the screen and it's a shame it's looks like a 5th gen tape dupe and 4:3 since this movie has some gnarly looking squib shots that would make John Woo envious. Shots right to the face where their face is blown off type squib work.
