Member laagi Posted January 17, 2022 Member Share Posted January 17, 2022 I've enjoyed this movie for the most part. Largely due to the performances of our protagonists. They had to do the heavy lifting since pretty much the entire scenario takes place inside an apartment. Also I was engaged with what happened on screen as things started to unfold and more pieces were added to the puzzle. As it progresses the tone does get darker. However there are some intentional? comedy bits which are okay but didn't really work for me. Antoher thing I found a bit disappointing was the soundtrack as well as overuse of slow-mo, especially towards the end. Speaking of which the ending was a bit lackluster. Nevertheless overall it's one of the better chinese movies I've watched recently.
