Member bickle14 Posted January 6 Member Share Posted January 6 I'm pretty sure Frank Djeng has indicated that 88 will be putting out the sequel. I'm not 100% sure though.
Member lastninja Posted January 7 Member Share Posted January 7 (edited) In Germany there is even “Black Cat 3”. This is actually “Fox Hunter”. The picture is cropped on the german DVD. There are quite a few films with Jade Leung that need a proper release. Together with "Fox Hunter", “Satin Steel” and “Velvet Gloves” are supposed to be really good. There are no really good releases of those movies, let alone HD. Edited January 7 by lastninja
Member Knetan Posted January 8 Member Share Posted January 8 The sequel to Black Cat is a much livelier affair. Remember to watch it in English as it was shot that way, in sync sound.

He reconfirmed it: "Ever since Vinegar Syndrome announced their Black Cat Double Feature set, I’ve been inundated with inquiries by UK fans as to whether 88 Films will release Black Cat 2. With 88’s blessings, I can confirm that, yes, Black Cat 2 is coming this year and I will be helping out with the release. In fact, I actually gave a hint for it on my IG 2 months ago with the post below. Expect a commentary and a brand new interview with Jade…and hopefully someone else as well."

So if you prefer this edition over the Eureka, you'll have no issues getting it dispatched to France. Of course, UHD discs are never region locked.

Judging by the runtime this is the same uncut theatrical version put out by Vicol. So all the KKK scenes that were cut from the DVD releases will be here intact.

I haven't heard of this one. Is under $50 till Monday with their flash sale. I'm on the fence on this one. It's not a movie worth it for me to double dip, so I'll have to choose wisely. I really like the fact that the VS release has Frank Djeng/John Charles commentaries for both while the 88 is only for #2. But disappointed two of the included interviews for the VS releases are 3 year old interviews with Richard Norton & herself that can be found on her YT channel. On the other hand, it would be cool to see that Melanie Good interview. She has only a brief part as the stripper assassin but I thought that was one of the more enjoyable scenes. Even with the flash sale, the Eureka is cheaper since it's no tax and free shipping. Decisions, decisions!
