Member Yihetuan Posted March 26, 2023 Member Share Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) Film Movement's blu ray releases of Violent Streets and Samurai Wolf 1 & 2 movies are up for pre-order on Amazon. The cover art for Violent Streets is hideous compared to Eureka but at least it's uncut. https://www.amazon.com/Violent-Streets-Noboru-Andô/dp/B0BZGLCSDR?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1679690390&sr=1-1&fbclid=IwAR0dWDb6x9Xs8l7E72WaQAFU1hTpVxqnnyWZ4JITpH7cbKWZL7W3ZY6THIU&tag=blurayforum-20 https://www.amazon.com/Samurai-Wolf-1-Isao-Natsuyagi/dp/B0BZG3FZL8?crid=1SH3B38Z0VEWD&keywords=samurai wolf 1%26 2&qid=1679690482&s=movies-tv&sprefix=samurai wolf 1%26 2%2Cmovies-tv%2C90&sr=1-18&fbclid=IwAR3mqRzx-dYzFGirbb5fVRxRM080OCm_THEQhcOgKLqueAQLvXGk_D2WIGE&tag=blurayforum-20 Edited March 26, 2023 by Yihetuan

Member nahnahnah Posted April 9, 2023 Member Share Posted April 9, 2023 Film Movement also have the rights to the new 4K restoration for Chen Kaige's Farewell My Concubine and will presumably release it on blu later this year.
Member Yihetuan Posted May 5, 2023 Member Share Posted May 5, 2023 Anyone thinking about ordering Violent Streets and Samurai Wolf 1 & 2 from Amazon, I wouldn't if you live in the US. Film Movement's own web store has half off flash sales all the time. I bet you can get both these titles at 50% off by the end of the year.

Same with Violent Streets. https://geekvibesnation.com/samurai-wolf-1-2-blu-ray-review/
Member Yihetuan Posted May 15, 2023 Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 (edited) Film Movement is also releasing Shohei Imamura's Warm Water Under A Red Bridge on May 23 on blu ray. I went ahead and pre-ordered this title along with Violent Streets and Samurai Wolf 1 & 2 at the film movement shop. They are heavily discounted compared to Amazon. Member Yihetuan Posted January 3 Member Share Posted January 3 (edited) So now that FM has a deal with VS, I went ahead to check out their upcoming releases in their Classic Line and I see 8 Japanese films and 4 Korean films. Some of these have already been announced several months ago like the Fukasaku titles and I'm also not interested in the Lee Chang-dong films since I went with the Umbrella Ent limited editions but definitely interested in Green Fish. As far as the Japanese titles, I'm skipping the ones Radiance released but definitely picking up the 3 Red Peony series, the two Kinji Fukasaku ones with Wolves, Pigs and Men & Violent Panic: The Big Crash. Of course, the Hideo Gosha one, Cash Calls Hell. Edited January 3 by Yihetuan

Member dwk Posted January 7 Member Share Posted January 7 The four Lee Chang-dong films are going to be released as a box set, so I don't know if Green Fish is going to be available separately.
