SAMURAI WOLF 2: HELL CUT

Film Movement also puts their releases on iTunes (like their King Hu films), so for those who don't collect physical media you also have a legitimate streaming option.

Wow nice!  Hope they picked up a bunch of Gosha.

Film Movement also have the rights to the new 4K restoration for Chen Kaige's Farewell My Concubine and will presumably release it on blu later this year.

Anyone thinking about ordering Violent Streets and Samurai Wolf 1 & 2 from Amazon, I wouldn't if you live in the US. Film Movement's own web store has half off flash sales all the time. I bet you can get both these titles at 50% off by the end of the year.

Film Movement is also releasing Shohei Imamura's Warm Water Under A Red Bridge on May 23 on blu ray.

I went ahead and pre-ordered this title along with Violent Streets and Samurai Wolf 1 & 2 at the film movement shop. They are heavily discounted compared to Amazon.

Unfortunately they can't ship to outside the US.

yeah I should of stipulated that it's US residents only. Speaking of Film Movement, they are releasing the Thai horror film, Cracked on dvd and digital streaming platforms (VUDU, iTunes, Amazon). Stars Nichkhun (ex-2PM Kpop star).

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in CRACKED (ภาพหวาด, P̣hāph h̄wād, 2022) a terrifying new Thai horror film, an inherited painting may be worth a thousand screams, The movie comes to DVD and Digital July 18, 2023 from Film Movement.

Ruja (actress/model Chayanit Chansangavej) returns to Thailand from New York with her young daughter Rachel to settle her late father's estate. Included in her inheritance are two mysterious portraits of a bewitching woman that she is told are worth a fortune, if only they weren't damaged.

Desperate to sell the paintings, Ruja hires Tim (K-pop star Nichkhun), an art restorer, to prepare the canvases for sale. But the cracks in the paint have begun to reveal long-hidden secrets, and as strange phenomena begin to emerge around them, Ruja and Rachel quickly realize their lives are in grave danger.

So now that FM has a deal with VS, I went ahead to check out their upcoming releases in their Classic Line and I see 8 Japanese films and 4 Korean films. Some of these have already been announced several months ago like the Fukasaku titles and I'm also not interested in the Lee Chang-dong films since I went with the Umbrella Ent limited editions but definitely interested in Green Fish.

As far as the Japanese titles, I'm skipping the ones Radiance released but definitely picking up the 3 Red Peony series, the two Kinji Fukasaku ones with Wolves, Pigs and Men & Violent Panic: The Big Crash. Of course, the Hideo Gosha one, Cash Calls Hell.

Green Fish finally on blu, I'm interested too, hope I'll have enough to get it after I complete all the Eureka, 88, VS and Terror Vision (pre)orders.

The four Lee Chang-dong films are going to be released as a box set, so I don't know if Green Fish is going to be available separately.
