Member ZenkaigerBat Posted November 2, 2021 Member Share Posted November 2, 2021 On November 2, 2001. Jet Li fought his greatest enemy himself in The One, 20 years ago released in theaters.
Member DiP Posted November 5, 2021 Member Share Posted November 5, 2021 Underrated movie. The action is tops despite the heavy use of wirework.
Member DarthKato Posted November 5, 2021 Member Share Posted November 5, 2021 My first Jet Li film. My brother-in-law and I rented from a Video Store when it first came out. It was pretty damn good. I defiantly agree with @DiP that its super underrated.
Member Drunken Monk Posted November 5, 2021 Member Share Posted November 5, 2021 I think it's a terrible film saved by some solid action. If the fight sequences weren't the caliber they are, it would be be considered a dud.
Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted November 5, 2021 Member Share Posted November 5, 2021 Rewatched this last year... it is horrendous.

Member DrNgor Posted November 9, 2021 Member Share Posted November 9, 2021 Another couple of (relatively) positive reviews from B-movie fanatics back in the day: https://web.archive.org/web/20060113001542/http://www.coldfusionvideo.com/o/one.html https://web.archive.org/web/20051210073446/http://www.badmovieplanet.com/inferno/archives/one.html
Member laagi Posted November 9, 2021 Member Share Posted November 9, 2021 Can't remember a lot about this movie other than some of the funny wigs Jet Li was wearing. Most of his stuff he starred in stateside was plain horrible and didn't do the man and his talent justice. Movies that also come to mind are Romeo Must Die and Cradle 2 The Grave. Not sure if any of his US stuff would be considered a classic nowadays?
Member Majin Android Posted November 9, 2021 Member Share Posted November 9, 2021 it looked really cheap, set design, character design, fx etc but i read the budget was huge
