I have to revisit this as soon as possible, but before we were given the absolutely waste of time that is Dragonball Evolution, we were given this Taiwanese/Hong Kong adaptation called New Seven Dragon Ball aka Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins. It is a live action adaptation of the animated film Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies. Due to copyright issues, the characters have new names but it's clear who's who:

• Charles Chen as Monkey Boy/Goku
• Chin Tu as Sparkle/Gohan (Monkey Boy's Grandpa)
• Jeannie Hsieh as Szeto/Bulma
• Cheng Tung-Chuen as Westwood/Yamcha
• Huang Chung-Yu as Turtle Man/Master Roshi
• Phillip So as King Horn/King Gurumes - So is also the film's action choreographer along with Chiu Ying-Hong 
• Lee Yee-Kuen as Jen Jen/Penny
• Pang San as Piggy/Oolong
• Chiang Long-Sheng as Zebrata/Vongo/Master Domo
• Eveline Oranje as Malalia/Pasta/Raven
