Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted September 20, 2021 Moderator Share Posted September 20, 2021 A taut Korean thriller revolving around that classic trope of a bag stuffed full of cash being discovered, and the cast of characters that soon come out of the woodwork that want to get their hands on it. I recently got through watching this one and gave it the full review treatment over at COF, check it out below - https://cityonfire.com/beasts-clawing-at-straws-2020-review/
Member Yihetuan Posted September 24, 2021 Member Share Posted September 24, 2021 I enjoyed it enough to buy the blu ray release. Nothing out of the ordinary or groundbreaking and full of the usual noir/femme fatale/black comedy crime tropes that Western viewers are so familiar with i.e. Coen Brothers, Tarantino, etc. The actor who played the knife wielding right hand man to Doo man's character and personal "cleaner" is one scary looking Mf'er. Jeon Do-yeon is right! He makes Richard Kiel look like Brad Pitt in comparison.
