Member AlbertV Posted September 20, 2021 Member Share Posted September 20, 2021 It was inevitable. The first one is a classic. The second was ahhh.ight. The third not so great, but the vampire flick The Lost Boys is the latest horror gem to be getting the remake treatment. It was announced that A Quiet Place's Noah Jupe and It: Chapter One's Jaeden Martell will be leading the cast, either as the two brothers who run afoul of the vampire gang with one changing into a vamp himself or even one of the comic-book loving self-proclaimed vampire killers. Randy McKinnon is scripting the new film with Jonathan Entwistle already signed to direct. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/new-lost-boys-movie-noah-jupe-jaeden-martell-1235015779/
Member DarthKato Posted September 20, 2021 Member Share Posted September 20, 2021 Man, Hollywood really loves their remakes don’t they. Like I’ve said before, cannot they try remaking movies that had potential, but fell short? We really don’t need remakes of classic movies.
Member Drunken Monk Posted September 20, 2021 Member Share Posted September 20, 2021 Blasphemy. Pure blasphemy. The Lost Boys is the perfect vampire movie. I understand how a modern retelling may appeal to today's younger audience but the original is such a great time capsule. I'm not sure a new one would work as well. 2
