Can't wait to give this an indepth read. I initially thought that Stanley would have been something of an analogue for Jackie. A way for Jackie to have the films directed as closely as possible as how Jackie would do it, without possibly going over time/budget.

But I think, in saying that, Stanley soon came into his own as he gained more experience as a director.
