Member AlbertV Posted July 14, 2021 Member Share Posted July 14, 2021 In the 1990s, when professional kickboxers were making waves from going from the ring to films, Ian Jacklin was one of those kickboxers turned actors in films. Having been in the ring for a decade, the Canadian-born fighter from London, Ontario would become the WKA's North American Champion and the ISKA Canadian Champion, His style is Kenpo Karate. In 1991, he made his film debut opposite Gary Daniels in the film Capital Punishment and reunited with Daniels as his ill-fated brother in American Streetfighter the following year. His most famous role perhaps is that of Eric Martine, an Argentinian kickboxer who posed to be a major threat to Sasha Mitchell's David Sloane in Kickboxer 3: The Art of War. Usually playing villains shortly, Jacklin would play the lead in two films, 1993's Expert Weapon and 1996's Death Match. After making a exploitation comedy in 1998, Jacklin decided to call it a day with his acting career. Today, Ian Jacklin is still making films, but now as a documentary filmmaker. He has his own production company, Arch Angel Studios. One of his acclaimed docs is ICureCancer, where he won a Humanitarian award at the 2012 Women's International Film Festival. https://www.archangelstudios.org/about
