Member AlbertV Posted July 9, 2021 Member Share Posted July 9, 2021 GKids, who released the Studio Ghibli collection on DVD and Blu-Ray after Disney's rights were up, have just scored the distribution rights to Future Boy Conan, the 26-episode series that marked the directorial debut of the legend himself, Hayao Miyazaki. The series tells the story of a world that was destroyed by earthquakes and tidal waves. Conan is born into this world twenty years later on an isolated island and raised by his adopted grandfather. However, his life is forever changed when a mysterious girl named Lana washes ashore, pursued by shadowy operatives who seek to use her in a new scheme to control what’s left of the world. The series has underwent a 4K restoration and has an English dub audio track done with release sometime later this year.
