What is high school students in the present day were transported via a fog to the Sengoku era of feudal Japan? That's the premise of this recently released Japanese live-action adaptation of the Masaki Kasahara manga. The film stars Mackenyu Arata (the son of Sonny Chiba who appears in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final) as a high school archery club student who along with fellow students and teachers end up in the Sengoku period there they must fight for survival. Mackenyu is actually an expert in Kyokushin-kai Karate (most likely trained from his dad) and is skilled in Yasumane (Japanese archery), so I'm guessing this project must have been fun for him.

The film also would mark the final performance of Haruma Miura, who Mackenyu confessed was his inspiration to become an actor so to work with his idol is both exciting and bittersweet as Miura died via suicide on July 18, 2020.
