I'd be anxious to find out if Arrow will release Vol. 2 as stand-alone releases, as they did for Vol. 1. Perhaps they are gauging sales of the complete collection first.

No, it never did. I remember Alexandre Aja was attached to the project but don't know what happened after the initial buzz.

Excited about the new Arrow restorations from the negatives. Excited about the additional dirty footage from Clans of Intrigue. Excited that the supplements disc has an HD version of Killer Constable with the SD Korean scenes added in place.

A little uncertain about the fact no mention was made of the additional footage for avenging Eagle.

It must be a Ching Li' s interview, since it's related to The Magic Blade...

So Shawscope Vol. 3 is also a KungFu boxset? It was said that it could be more non-martial arts.

I only know a 4-5 movies in this set. Are all of the movies kungfu/martial arts or are there any movies like "mighty peking man" from the first set?

Have they announced that The Avenging Eagle will be totally uncut? I have the German Blu-ray (in the ugly looking gold case) and that inserts the footage in SD, but it would be awesome if this version was fully uncut.

James Flower (producer at Arrow) said that Avenging Eagle and Clans of Intrigue would both be uncut.

All the films would fall under action/martial arts, some with more fantastical elements than others, except for maybe Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan (which still has action in it, but is not strictly an action film).

My memory is pretty shady but I remember there was some HLA (Hot Lesbian Action) that was censored -- just kidding! I believe it was just a kissing scene between Nora Miao and Betty Pei-ti & some full frontal in a bathing scene also involving Betty.

I tweeted James Flower about it when the set was announced and he said it would be uncut, fingers crossed

Nice to see a couple of Tony Rayns commentaries on here, wish he did some for the Eureka and 88 releases too.

I like Tony Rayns' video pieces a lot, and he has the good instinct to, when he does commentaries, to often speak over specific scenes only. If he material for a feature, like Come Drink With Me, cool. But if there's only an hour or 45 minutes to do good notes on a Lau Kar-Leung movie, then that's sensible. And you never have to sit through the gaps in the recording but these discs are authored to automatically skip ahead to next chunk of talking.

And I just finished Tony's 82 minute video on Bruce Lee's life, on the Fist Of Fury disc. Exceptional and sadly don't hear many people talking about either these videos or his select scene commentaries.

Although, as a Bruce Lee nerd, he did have some errors in his information and kind of follows the popular narrative of Lee's journey.
