Member AlbertV Posted June 2, 2021 Member Share Posted June 2, 2021 I read this very interesting article today and it involves indie company Ambitious Entertainment optioning the rights to the late Gunnar Hansen's book Chainsaw Confidential. The book is about the making of the 1974 classic Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Hansen's point of view. I read the book and I learned so much from reading the book and it would have the only on-set photo of Hansen without sporting the Leatherface masks. One such story involves the chase scene between Sally and Leatherface where Hansen accidentally had some "special brownies" and had to chase Marilyn Burns with the chainsaw. Anyway, Ambitious Entertainment is planning to do a film adaptation of the book and make it as a dark comedy. Kind of like how The Disaster Artist did for Tommy Wiseau's The Room. https://deadline.com/2021/05/wilma-rudolph-making-of-texas-chainsaw-massacre-launch-slate-ambitious-entertainment-kirk-shaw-shaun-redick-yvette-yates-redick-1234758344/
