I just discovered that this movie has been shot in two versions.

Does anyone know if the German language version Mr Kugelblitz schlägt zu is the same as the HK version with Wang Yu, or if it's the Japanese version with another actor, and if there are many differences between the two versions, please ?

Same as the Japanese version I believe. And one of the questions in my hard level Shaw quiz that I haven't submitted yet. Guess that one is out now.

No worries, I had some backups.

But yeah, all info on the German title seems to correspond with the JP version, which I have not seen, so can't speak on the differences. but I bet they are relatively minor as the cost cutting benefit is to just switch out the actors and shoot the scene again for the home market.

i have seen and compared German to Celestial some years ago. German is the Japanese actor version, and has some violence cut out. The Rest is indeed basically the same movie, save for some shorter edited action pieces. Funny enough, even the stuff which does not have Wang Yu has been shot alternatively.
