Member AlbertV Posted March 17, 2021 Member Share Posted March 17, 2021 WWE superstar Charlotte Flair will be starring in a female-centric remake series of the 1973 classic action film with David Eick serving as showrunner. The film was of course, remade in 2004 with Dwayne Johnson, which had two straight-to-DVD sequels with Kevin Sorbo. Flair will play a Tucson police officer who finds herself caught in a web of fraud, exploitation and murder. She is forced to go full vigilante to protect her home town from falling victim to modern corruption. The series may begin as a two-hour TV movie and will be on the USA Network. https://www.darkhorizons.com/eick-flair-set-for-walking-tall-remake/

Member ShaOW!linDude Posted March 21, 2021 Member Share Posted March 21, 2021 Somebody please post a meme of the courtroom scene when Pusser (Joe Don Baker) says, "Look at what they did to me!" 2
Member DarthKato Posted March 28, 2021 Member Share Posted March 28, 2021 I'm not interested in Hollywood remaking yet another Movie/TV Show with a gender-swapped protagonist. I actually have faith that a well-written, female character can hold her own without having to piggyback on the success of a man. So yeah, I think I'll just re-watch the original 1973 version with Joe Don Baker( The only one worth watching in my opinion) and just let this one pass on by.
