Killer artwork. Same here. The James Neal artwork is fantastic and continues with the theme he did for the first film. I was also going to get the VS double set but held off after Frank mentioned 88 will release the it. It's not a great film or anything but still have to support these physical releases and also remember Jade Leung got into a similar situation as Moon Lee and Sibelle Hu did in Devil Hunters and was badly injured. Totally uncut, though the Cat III footage did have to be sourced from SD masters due to missing film elements... believe me, we tried. The film that Jade got badly injured was Peter Mak's Enemy Shadow not Black Cat. It was this corridor explosion scene which they kept in the movie. I've found new appreciation for most of the Lo Wei era Jackie films, but I really don't see how a bump in resolution could improve that movie any further than the previous release. I won't be making the jump to 4K in general for a long time yet. But ignoring formats, I really can't envision anything - short of some obscure longer version being included - that would ever entice me to upgrade that particular movie again. Frustratingly convoluted storytelling for what's otherwise a not-too complicated story, coupled with an utterly unrecognizable Jackie. It's not bad but probably the worst of that era. I mean, 88 has done/announced all of the other Jackie / Lo Wei movies. It'd be bizarre if it were skipped for whatever reason. As usual, I'm assuming the reason it's being saved for last is due to the complexities of restoring a 3D film. That or the Star Wars music is proving to be a legal difficulty.
