Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted February 8, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 8, 2021 Director Jo Sung-hee is back this year with 'Space Sweepers', which has gone straight to Netflix after a 1 year hiatus thanks to COVID-19. The first time for Korea to attempt the space-opera style action flick, I gave it the full review treatment over at COF. Member DarthKato Posted February 9, 2021 Member Share Posted February 9, 2021 Looks pretty good. Reminds me of "Firefly(2002-2003) a little bit.
Moderator thekfc Posted February 16, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 16, 2021 I gave this one a watch over the weekend. It might be 1st Korean sci-fi movie but the movies borrows heavily from other sci-fi movies, there were scenes that reminds me of Serenity, Sunshine, the Fifth Element, and Star Wars and a few others - the battle between the Space Sweepers & the UTS brings back memories of the battle between the Resistance vs The Empire. With all that said It is a fun movie and I enjoyed it. I actually cares about some of the characters in the movies. Even with the long runtime (2hr & 16 minutes) the movies kept me (us) entertained & didn't bore me (us).
