Member DrNgor Posted December 10, 2020 Member Share Posted December 10, 2020 If were to make a theoretical horror pack feature horror movies about the animals that represent the Five Deadly Venoms, could we do it? Centipede - Centipede Horror (1982) Snake - Killer Snakes (1974) or Calamity of Snakes (1983) Lizard - Lewd Lizard (1979) Toad - ??? (perhaps Shaolin Drunkard) Scorpion - ??? Are there any movies that feature deadly frogs or scorpions in the HK Filmography?

Are there any movies that feature deadly frogs or scorpions in the HK Filmography? Maybe in the ils Cantonese martial arts movies, to answer your last question. I remember of a movie called Black centipede, and there is a kind of frog Kung fu on a movie I watched a little while ago...I wonder if it wasn't Wang Yu's Deadly silver spear.
Member DrNgor Posted December 10, 2020 Author Member Share Posted December 10, 2020 Both Kung Fu Hustle and Guy with Secret Kung Fu feature frog styles. Shaolin Drunkard has the acid-shooting kung fu frog as an auxillary villain.
Member Killer Meteor Posted December 10, 2020 Member Share Posted December 10, 2020 If you extend beyond HK movies, the Doctor Who serial "The Talons of Weng Chiang" has martial arts (including nunchucks) and a poison known as The Sting of the Scorpion! It's also very non-PC even for its time, so be warned!
Member DrNgor Posted December 10, 2020 Author Member Share Posted December 10, 2020 The Hollywood has so many killer animal films that you could do several five-movie volumes in which each film was a different Venom.
