Guest sevenhooks
I think I brought this up here a long, long time ago but never got a response. I remember in many of my old HK movie mags (particularly Cinemart), Chow Yun Fat was often referred to by another, strange english name... "Amon Chow". Anyone have a clue as to the origin of this bizarre moniker? I even asked Terrence Cheng about this when I met him by chance once a couple of years back. He busted his gut laughing when he heard the name, but didn't remember it. Who the hell comes up with these names anyway?!
Guest Knetan
hey, even though I think there are prints of 70s movies of his where this name was used, I also heard something vague a while back that it WAS the name Chow was more known as in Taiwan. Guest Knetan
hey, believe hkmdb has or had that as an aka yea but never seen anyone acknowledge the fact that he's been credited that way in a film. Early, early, early days maybe?
