What big film franchises have you not seen?

I just watched Indiana Jones (Raiders) for the first time, in theaters and it had me thinking what big film franchises you guys are yet to see?

Prior to that I hadnt seen any Indiana Jones movie, still havent seen any Terminator movie, Jurassic Park, Back to The Future, Karate Kid, Micheal Bay Transformers, Planet of The Apes, Mummy franchise, etc (may be forgetting something). Before Casino Royale, had never seen a James Bond movie, still havent seen any of the classic ones. Hadnt seen any Star Wars movie prior to 2015.

Actually dont think Ive seen a movie with Swarzeneggar, Steven Seagal or Van Damme in it. Im really throwing my credibility under the bus here haha.

As time goes on the ‘wow’ factor for people not having seen a bunch of ‘classics’ will surely dissipate as there simply becomes soo much more art and entertainment to verse yourself in.

Pirates of the Caribbean franchise--I've seen none of them.
I've seen some of the first Transformers and the second halves of parts two and three.
I've seen some of the sixth Fast and the Furious film, but none of the others.
DCU - I saw "Suicide Squad" and washed my hands of the entire operation, unless the recent "Joker" counts.
Narnia films - None
Saw films - None
Nightmare on Elm Street - None
Ice Age - none

Old school Hollywood Franchises:

Maisie
Philo Vance
The Thin Man
Charlie Chan
Mr. Moto
Bomba, the Jungle Boy
Michael Shayne
The Mexican Spitfire
The Boston Blackie
Perry Mason (the 1930s films)
Dick Tracy
Torchy Blaine
Dr. Kildare
The Crime Doctor
Bulldog Drummond

I have seen only 2 Johnny Weissmuller "Tarzan" films, one Bowery Boys movie, and one "Jungle Jim" movie.

I struggled with this question. I’ve seen one of nearly every franchise there is, it seems.

However, I haven’t seen a single Star Trek movie prior to the JJ Abrams reboot and I have never seen an Ice Age movie.

This might make @masterofoneinchpunch die a little inside, but I also haven't seen entries from any of the following franchises:

Maisie
Philo Vance
The Thin Man
Charlie Chan
Mr. Moto
Bomba, the Jungle Boy
Michael Shayne
The Mexican Spitfire
The Boston Blackie
Perry Mason (the 1930s films)

I'm not saying this to be contrarian or anything like that but I've never watched any of the Fast of Furious movies (I have zero interest in cars) or any of the Marvel franchise (was never interested as a kid in either Marvel or DC).

I've seen nothing or less than 10 minutes of any Twilight, X Man, Transformer, Fast and Furious, Rocky, Rambo, Narnia, Hunger Games, John Wick. I saw about 3 minutes of one of the Saw movies (and still try to forget them). I do intend to watch John Wick, it just did not happen yet.

Okay, I'll edit my original post to include the Narnia and Saw franchises.

Well some of these do hurt a bit.  I can understand Philo Vance since they are hard to get ahold of.

Since you, like myself, enjoy knowing about MA in film then Mr. Moto is a must.  I have not completed it yet, nor Chan but there are so many Chan and yes you need to see at least the Warner Oland ones.  But a lot of those I have not see either and are difficult to get.  I do want to see the Perry Mason films.

I do enjoy the first three Ice Age films (the third is the best in the series, then the first film, I've seen all of the series and have the shorts too).  I've seen all Star Trek films (really love 2,3,4,6,8).

I thought one day I might have to admit to the forum that I've never watched a movie with:

I think my equivalent of this was that I didn't watch The Godfather until last year. Yet to watch part 2 and 3.

I've not seen this either. Strangely enough though I've seen the knock off Lady Terminator.

I think I've seen episodes of a TV version but not a feature.

I've also not seen any of the Alien or Predator movies.

I don't think I've seen any Superman or Batman features, though I've seen TV incarnations.

I never watched any Matrix movies, nor Rambo's movies, nor Star Trek movies.

I only watched the firs Star Wars as a teenager, though I have some other dvds of this series.

Same for Indiana Jones.

And there are a lot more that I never watched...

First Matrix is a must! I've seen it four times, last time on the big screen about a year ago and it was better than ever, it's imo the best SF movie ever made. Besides, Yuen Woo-Ping's choreo oughta be reason enough for us here.

Not super well versed in my horror franchises either if I really think of it. Saw the first Chucky, could give a shit about the rest (same goes for most of this other stuff I havent seen). Havent seen an original Halloween, original Friday the 13th, leprechaun movie (lol), jeepers creepers, paranormal activity, resident evil, scary movie parody series. Always been a big Elm Street fan though.

Easy, Twilight.

I binged that on my work vacation about 4 years ago or so. I watched Red Riding Hood and Beautiful Creatures that same week.

@Iron_Leopard No input man? the main twilight marathoner himself, figured you would chime in.

My bad. I haven't been very active lately cause of a new job I started.

But everyone who said they haven't seen any Rambo movie is CANCELED. Best action franchise ever.

For me though. I've never seen a single film in the "Fast and Furious" franchise.

Franchises I never watched for some reason:

Jaws

Sharknado

I have seen several other shark films but not these franchises. I guess I'll probably never get to Sharknado because it's so stupid it would make me angry (even if it purposely plays out as stupid and OTT).

Hellraiser

Silent Night, Deadly Night

I plan to get to those eventually. Finding them seems to be the hardest part.

Ghostbusters

Somehow never got around watching those while I've considered them at times. I'm talking of the original movies from the 1980s, and call me chauvinistic or whatever you want (since it seems to be the only answer to criticism towards it) but the remake can go screw itself.

Franchises I can't get into

Star Trek post-reboot

I stopped at Nemesis. Kinda sad they never made movies with other series casts before the reboot, though they could have been hard to pull off (Voyager) or lacked the popularity the original and TNG had.

Star Wars

I never found it that appealing. I'd even say I rather find vastly overrated and way overexposed.

Child's Play/Chucky

I never felt comfortable with this one TBH.

Divergent

The premise feels weak to me, and it came when Hollywood was over-producing young adult literature-based movies - like, Harry Potter was just finished, Hunger Games was at full swing and the ultimately much better The Maze Runner came out around the same time. IIRC, the series didn't go as planned and some sequels went DTV...

Hunger Games

The little I saw of it had two people in a train talking and the camera couldn't stay still - gimme two hours of this and I will probably have a headache for a couple of days.

I also only have a handful of Paranormal Activity (2, 3 and 5), Jigsaw (the eighth film of the franchise IIRC), the first Twilight film (because I got the Rifftrax commentary track for cheap). I remember seeing one or two Terminator films and the first Robocop.  I also only have two Puppet Master films, I'm planning to get some more because I find the puppets and the music really cool.

PoC is overrated

Potter is not for me

car films are usually not for me

Seagal , zzzzzzz

First Rambo is the best

Remember the 80s Narnia show , that was cool

Ice Age 3 is the best imo
