Member tdb Posted July 15, 2020 Member Share Posted July 15, 2020 I'm thinking about watching God of Cookery (1996) tonight and was reading up some old reviews and whatnot and a couple of them mention The Chinese Feast (1995), and I do a little more reading and I'm going how have I missed this all these years? Admittedly these New Year comedies can be hit or miss but this one sounds promising. Fortunately there's a blu available. And speaking of God of Cookery I noticed a couple of things this go-around -- Chow brought the chase between Stephen and Turkey to it's "logical" extreme with Sing and Landlady's chase in Kung Fu Hustle (2004) and that God of Cookery and Ratatouille (2007) have more in common than one might think. 'The Chinese Feast' is a lot of fun, although definitely not one to watch in the presence of vegetarians.
