Member Yihetuan Posted May 25, 2020 Member Share Posted May 25, 2020 I remember reading about this big budget remake years ago and was eagerly anticipating further news about it going into production but apparently it was DOA. I was curious to see who they would cast in the role of Fang Kang? Lee Hyun Byung or Jang Dong Gun would've been suitable or maybe even Won Bin? Considering the success of the original and subsequent sequels, I'm surprised no one has remade the movie in other Asian countries except Tsui Hark's The Blade. Or have there been remakes of The One Armed Swordsman? I guess one can say Japan's Tange Sazen is the original The One Armed Swordsman but I mean a straight remake of the Chang Cheh film.
