Duel to the Death

Hello i'm new here. Recently i been on a dvd buying kick buying some Kung Fu movies i always wanted. I'm not trying to buy too much since i'm on a budget. It can be an addiction. I need to stop before i go broke. :smile

And i hope i'm posting this in the right section. Forgive me if i'm not.

Well anyway, do you think this is a bootleg or legit release of Warriors Two? According to dvdcompare.net the Holland edition is suppose to have the same extras as the UK edition but the back of the case doesn't mention any extras. The UK release does mention them. The only pictures of this dvd i could find online were 2 copies that this same seller has. I'd assume it's legit and it just didn't mention the extras. I'm not sure if bootlegs are a problem or not. I was looking into buying this but i'm being cautious.

Also in the second link i thought i'd show off something interesting i purchased. The Sammo Hung Action Collection from Taiwan. Also kind of sketchy. I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. It's nearly identical to the Hong Kong version except the glaring typo on the front listing Magnificent Butcher twice instead of Knockabout. And looks to be released by Catalyst Logic. I decided to take a chance on it. It's too cool looking and it's 3 classics. Figured i can't go wrong.

Welcome to the Forum!

I am not too sure about the Warriors Two DVD. I have the UK Special Collectors Edition for sale in my post here. As for the second one, if that is a legit release, pretty crazy on how they listed Magnificent Butcher twice.

That Warriors Two looks dodgy and not an official Hong Kong Legends release to me. I could be wrong but I'm sure HKL were only released in the UK and Australia

I I was basing it on information from this site. But I also think it looks dodgy.

Doing a little more digging I found what might be the actual release which may be identical looking to the UK release. Also I found a site selling the one I seen on eBay.

The eBay seller for the Sammo Hung collection is daniel_in_taiwan, a guy who I’ve ordered from a heap of times. All his stuff is legit and not bootleg, so I assume this is just an error that’s come from not paying much attention to the English text. There’s a thread on him here -

That is good to here. I should have that in the mail in the next day or 2.

One other thing I ordered was Duel to the Death from a UK seller on Amazon. Unfortunately he shipped it with no tracking. I bought it at the same time as the Sammo Hung collection. Hope that shows up soon.

Naked killer, Iron Monkey, Police Story 1&2, Project A, Story of Ricky, Mr Canton and Lady Rose, City Hunter and Dragon From Russia were released in scandinavia.

Uhm, actually can be they were distributed by someone else but disc contents were same except scandi subs added.

Most HKL DVDs came with Dutch subtitles as standard. I think the magazine versions might be the main exception.

Here are those pics as promised, with 1 screenshot. I don't know the proper way to do screen shots. I just print screened from my video player.  The first screen shot should be the Taiwan release. The screen shot that has more black around the subtitles is from the fox release. It seems to have more detail in the face but more grain. I'm no expert when it comes to video quality. As you can see it does have that typo on the front of the box but the back shows the correct movies
