Japan Cuts: Festival of New Japanese Film will be completely online in 2020.  "Japan Society... partnering with Festival Scope and Shift72 as the streaming platform and technology service... is hand-crafting 14 days of unique screening opportunities for Japanese cinema lovers, serving the Society's dedicated audiences in New York city but also, for the first time, making the festival available to viewers throughout the United States... Set for July 17-30, the online edition of the festival will offer a diverse slate of around 30 feature films and shorts programs on a VOD model, with a limited number of virtual tickets and access geoblocked to the U.S. ... Japan Cuts 2020, North America's Largest Festival of New Japanese Film - Virtual tickets go on sale on July 10, 2020.  The film line-up has 40+ streaming shorts, documentaries and other films, with panel discussions and virtual Q&A.  Film line-up includes Fukushima 50, Tora-san Wish You Were Here (2019), On-Gaku: Our Sound (animated), Bath House of Whales (animated), Wolf's Calling (short film with samurai).  The entire line-up is at https://japancuts.japansociety.org/page/view-all/
