Member AlbertV Posted November 7, 2019 Author Member Share Posted November 7, 2019 Back when the first one was doing well, Phil Lord and Chris Miller promised fans if the film made $200 million domestically, they would include Japanese Spider-Man (from the 1978 Toei TV series) in the sequel. While it didn't make the $200M as promised, Lord and Miller did announce that despite the result, they are including Japanese Spider-Man to Into the Spider-Verse 2. Member AlbertV Posted April 21, 2021 Author Member Share Posted April 21, 2021 So Phil Lord and Chris Miller will no longer direct Into the Spider Verse 2, but will stay on as producers and they wrote the script with Shang-Chi writer Dave Callaham. The trio of Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K.
