One thing that has caught my attention about Chan Wai-Man is his affiliation with Fan Mei-Sheng. Both men are members of the 14K Triad. Both men have also worked with Wong Jing on a surprising number of occasions, most notably in the early part of his career.

Chan appeared in four of Jing's Shaw Brothers movies (Winner Takes All, Mercenaries from Hong Kong, Prince Charming and I Love Lolanto) whereas Fan Mei-Sheng appeared in four of Jing's screenwriting efforts for different companies (Golden Harvest's The Magnificent Butcher, Peace Film's The Buddhist Fist, Sun Wah Film's The Eagle's Killer and GH's Dreadnaught).

Fan Mei Sheng was also a triad member ?! I didn't know that !

I wonder how dangerous he was in Bruce's life. Now that we know officially from Van Williams that Bruce was having "Chinese mafia" problems, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about Chieh Yuan's involvement in Game of Death. In 1972, Chieh worked with Chan in Black List as well as The Good and the Bad. Chieh's last film with Chan, The Delivery, was released in the year after his death.

After doing an eBay search for Martial Magazine Hong Kong, I found a cover where Chieh is fighting Chan. They were obviously close.

I remember to have seen a TV documentary about Bruce's death years ago in which it was clearly stated that the Masters from various martial arts school were angry with him because he taught martial arts to strangers and that they probably  used triads in order to punish him, or something like that, I don' t remember very well after so many years.

It was more likely that Bruce refused to pay to Triads who demanded a fee to teach in a particular part of town, but this was in America. In Hong Kong, Bruce got into trouble for punching a Kung Fu expert in the face when requested to punch his stomach for a televised demonstration.

Am I dreaming, or is it Lily Li ?

Yes. They worked together quite a bit during this time. They were in Beauty Escort (1979) and Eight Escorts (1980). TV-wise, they were in The Great General Nian Gengyao and Flying Over the Ring.

Bey Logan mentioned it in his Bruce Lee book when talking about Bruce's death: "Fan had a relatively unusual position in the Hong Kong cinema of the 1970s. He was on equally good terms with the police, the gangsters and the film circle. Uncle Fan remembers being woken by a Triad gang boss. "Why are you calling me so early?" Bruce Lee is dead."

I guess that it's the same as City of ring, maybe one is the litteral translation of the Chinese title.

In the title shown by @rdenn, there is the character for "fly", if I'm not mistaken.
