Member ShawAngela Posted September 15, 2019 Member Share Posted September 15, 2019 I recently got a lot of 10 Japanese soundtracks (though I'm almost sure that one of them has nothing to do with Bruce's movies...) and I discovered that the songs are sung in English, and also that some of the original theme from the movies are "spoilt " by Bruce's screaming, such as in The way of the dragon. I perfectly remember that at the beginning of the movie, during the theme song, there aren't any Bruce's secreamings, at least in my version of the movie... I've never collected Bruce Lee LP's or soundtrack's, but I do know there's a lot of stuff out there. @Killer Meteor sure knows a lot when it comes to soundtracks, he might be able to help you out?. The first clip doesn't have any lyrics, but it seems to me that it's the one that can be heard in my dvd of the movie. But it also seems to me that there are lyrics when this theme can be heard when Chen Zhen is killed at the end of the movie... The second clip has the English lyrics, but there is one couplet missing, the last one. I don't have time at this moment, but when I'll have a while, I'll post the whole song with the lyrics that I found. What I would like to know is if the English lyrics are a direct translation of James Wong's Chinese lyrics, or if they are lyrics directly written in English by James Wong or if they are English lyrics that have nothing to do with the Chinese lyrics... While listening to the above clip of the Chinese song of Big Boss, I found some clips of Mike Remedios singing these beautiful songs, so, as promise, here they are, with lyrics that someone posted in the comments of each clips. Enjoy (maybe all Bruce's fans have already watched these clips, but well...it's for those like myself who had never heard of this great singer. He has a beaufitul voice, that reminds me a little bit of Tom Jones' voice... Way of the dragon (no lyrics) Big boss (no lyrics) Fist of fury (with lyrics) Sorry, I made a mistake and I don't know how to remove this clip... Here is the right one : Ok, i don't know why, but the video that appears here is not the one I'm watching at this moment when copying the link... I forgot to mention that there is also the Mandarin lyrics of the ending song of Fist of fury. I was sure that there were a singers choir singing at the end of the movie when Bruce Lee jumps outside the martial arts school but even in the LPS I got, it wasn't on the LPs. There is a Mike Remedios cd with only one song for which he wrote the lyrics with two other guys, as a tribute too Bruce Lee. The lyrics are very touching.
