Message from Space: Galactic Wars (Uchu kara no messeji: Ginga taisen) was a Japanese TV spinoff from the Message from Space film.  "The 15th solar system is invaded by the Stressos.  Two men, Ryu and Ayato, and a man-ape, Baru, organize the resistance.  They are helped by Eolia, a mysterious woman traveling on a three masted space ship."  Hiroyuki Sanada played Ayato.  Baru was played by Ryo Nishida (Battles Without Honor and Humanity; Lone Wolf and Cub: White Heaven in Hell; Doberman Cop).  Eolia was played by Yoko Akitani (Hissatsu shikakenin).  Eastern Star (Discotek Media) will release Message from Space: Galactic Wars, all 27 episodes, on Blu-ray in Japanese with English subs, on October 29, 2019.  The series "combines impressive fight scenes by the incomparable Japan Action Club and stunning space battles long before the age of CGI."  More at https://www.rightstufanime.com/Message-from-Space-Galactic-Wars-Blu-ray
