It's reprinted on the back of an early issue of Martial Arts Movie Associates(from 1985 IIRC) as the newspaper ad for a double bill with FURY OF THE DRAGON. (I know this isn't about Zatoichi, but still there has been discussions in this thread about other Japanese swordplay movies, so I thought it might be worth mentioning here.) According to IMDB https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055630/trivia?item=tr6410449: Quote Given an English Dub from Seneca International by Peter Riethof, which premiered at the Kimo Theatre in Kansas City. Here's a sample: Yojimbo English dub.mp4 Personally I didn't like the dub that much the first time I watched it, but still it grew on me the second time. That citation is from Stuart Galbraith IV's notoriously unreliable book, which also claims the absolutely-dubbed-in-HK export dub of Honda's The War of the Gargantuas was handled by Frontier, which it is demonstrably not. It's from a bootleg DVD I downloaded off of ADC (RIP) back in the day that syncs audio from the dubbed Embassy VHS to the video of the first Criterion disc. Because I thought it might be worth mentioning yet another Japanese swordplay movie, that's not Zatoichi.
