Bruce Davison is returning to his role of Reverend Michael in a sequel to Along Came the Devil, a 21st-Century version of The Exorcist that I really enjoyed watching last year. Also returning are the duo of Jason and Heather DeVan, who wrote the script with Jason DeVan directing. Production has begun today and a Fall 2019 release is scheduled.

I have to say I loved the original and this sequel really amped up the terror and even went from a 21st century day Exorcist to Exorcist meets another classic horror film. It's one of those rarities where the sequel is better than the original.
