I have an idea for a Kung Fu movie about the origins of Sanda, where they test the classical kung fu punches and realize Western boxing punches hit hardest, and then they adapt a few kicks and throws and create a full contact style, but only for the military, because they needed to be effective. That is what really happened, btw. China's rulers have a weird relationship with martial arts, as they tend to be tyrants and want a weak, productive populace, until the barbarians are at the gates....
