Jackie Chan plays a story writer, posser of Yin Yang book, and demon hunter.

While the idea and imagery of this movie seems initially appealing, it quickly becomes very tedious to watch. It was only after about fifteen to half in hour in where I really had to start thumbing the fast forward button, and Im not convinced I missed anything, or else wouldnt of had the patience to sit through it if I was.

The costume and set deisgn is quite beautiful, as you would expect. However the movie suffers from the substance and scope outside of that. Everything feels too small, the stoy doesnt feel involved as it should. Often dealing with very minuscule instances when it should be dealing with the larger story at hand. While the sets are nice, there isnt enough different ones.

The epic battle at the end, theres one restaurant fight aside from this (nothing spectacular) was reminiscent to me of the chase sequnece in the Star Wars story 'Solo' but without the variation of locations.

Overall worth the watch out of curiosity, but only in 2x speed for the majority of the film.
