An assassin from Taiwan Mr. Long (Chen Chang) gets stuck on the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan after a hit gone awry. There he's befriended by a small boy which lives with his junkie mother. I don't want to give away too much but there's a lot here about compassion and humanity. There's few scenes with outbursts of violence. Also some disturbing scenes. There's a certain beauty about the way the movie is shot and the performances. There's barely any talking. If I would have to find fault with something it would be that there's probably one too many coincidences to move the story along. But that's really complaining on a very high level.
