Member AlbertV Posted October 25, 2018 Member Share Posted October 25, 2018 Now, I've had both praise and gripe with live-action adaptations of manga/anime. If the creator of the manga gets any input or gets involved in the film version, then I'm all in. Now, with that said, it has been announced via Heat Vision that Legendary Pictures is planning a live-action adaptation of My Hero Academia, which takes place in a world where 80 percent of people have developed powers, known as quirks. One boy, who has no quirks of his own, obsessively follows the heroes who have emerged, though not everyone uses their powers for good. Although he has no powers of his own, the boy risks his life to save his friend, earning him attention from the world's greatest hero. Now, Ryosuke Yoritomi will oversee the film for the manga's publisher Shueisha while Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter will oversee the film for Legendary Pictures. I hope that creator Kohei Horikoshi will get involved to some capacity. If they can do, then I'll definitely by all in. Let's see what happens.
