Remember this action star of the 1990's, first appearing in 80's teen comedies then breaking out as Carl Weathers' partner on the TV series Street Justice before appearing in many of the B-movies of the 90's and early 2000s?

Bryan Genesse was born on March 20, 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Beginning his martial arts journey with training in Hung Gar Kung Fu and Muay Thai, Genesee made his film debut in the 1985 teen comedy Loose Screws: Screwballs II and did some roles in both TV and films before breaking out when he co-starred with Carl Weathers as Grady Jameson, the martial arts fighting cop in Street Justice, which ran from 1991 to 1993 on syndication. He would get to work alongside future Oscar winner Ben Affleck on an episode of the HBO series Lifestories: Families in Crisis as Bryce, the steroid dealer who gives Affleck's Aaron Henry the juice and warns him about roid rage when things go too far.

Genesse would then begin a successful action film career, delving in either sci-fi, martial arts films, or a combination of the two. Many will remember him as villain Little Ray, who fights Gary Daniels in Isaac Florentine's post-apocalyptic martial arts western Cold Harvest and as Vixton Hack in The Circuit opposite Olivier Gruner. In 2009, Genesee made his final appearance on screen in a straight acting role as Rocco Carner on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful before retiring from acting. His wife, actress Brooke Theiss, co-starred with him as a villain in The Alternate and has recently made a comeback after taking a decade off from acting.

Where is Bryan Genesee today? Well, Genesee has earned a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jean-Jacques Machado and he is now a full-time BJJ instructor at his own school in Stevenson, California. The name of his school? Venom Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. His school has gotten rave review on Yelp.
