Jennifer Beals will have a recurring role as Sheriff Lucilia Cable, who is tough as nails and pragmatic, Sheriff Cable’s fierce devotion to her son, Matt, is rivaled only by her sworn duty to serve and protect the town of Marais. The role of Alec Holland, the scientist who transforms into the superhero, is still yet to be cast. Member Drunken Monk Posted November 7, 2018 Member Share Posted November 7, 2018 After Titans ends, is there any reason to stick with DC's streaming service? I look forward to their shows but it seems easier to just cancel and then pick it back up when the next one airs.

After Titans I think is Doom Patrol, which will feature Cyborg and then comes Swamp Thing.
Member whitesnake Posted January 5, 2019 Member Share Posted January 5, 2019 Leonardo Nam (HBO series Westworld) joins the cast of Swamp Thing. "Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane (Reed) as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe. Nam will play Harlan Edwards, a gay CDC specialist who is Abby’s (Reed) second-in-command." Member Drunken Monk Posted June 3, 2019 Member Share Posted June 3, 2019 I really, really liked the first episode. It had an awesome horror vibe to it and it managed to intrigue me without giving away too many of its secrets. i'm interested to see how Swamp Thing actually factors into the show because, right now, he doesn't seem to have any physical enemies to fight. But I'm all in. Looking forward to see how this one pans out.

It was something to do with budget and a North Carolina grant offered to DC. I'm not sure of the ins and outs.

Member DragonClaws Posted June 8, 2019 Member Share Posted June 8, 2019 Axed before it's even got going, man that must be harsh for anyone who got their break on this show. I was looking forward to watching this at somepoint.
Member Drunken Monk Posted June 17, 2019 Member Share Posted June 17, 2019 I have gripes with the show but, all in all, it's gotten off to a very good start. This is a horror show from top to bottom, not a superhero show. And I think it benefits from that. My primary issue is that there seems to be a lot going on. By that I mean some of the characters haven't been explored yet (I know, we're only three episodes in) and so there are a few lingering question marks. I really hope they explore Swamp Thing's powers. Right now, he doesn't seem to have super strength but he can control the swamp and...what else?
