However, she won't retire until 2017. Details on the project are being kept firmly under wraps but we do know that it is set to start shooting in October and will be directed by Giddens Ko ('You Are the Apple of My Eye'). Hui has had a very prolific film career that has spanned over four decades. She was originally discovered by director Liu Chia-Liang who cast her in his 1976 movie 'Challenge Of The Masters'. She continued to have a string of hits working with Liu, and even won the first HKFA Best Actress award for her role in 1982's 'My Young Auntie'. She would later win the award again in 2010, this time for her work on 'At The End Of Daybreak'. After she retires, Hui says she will be focusing on her painting and hopes to hold an exhibition in the near future. Brilliant old school movie with Kara Hui and Simon Yam, both of them are brilliant, and the Morricone-esque score is awesome. It’s like a Johnnie To movie but better. It is a Malaysian/HK Co-production so depends on who have the media distribution rights will depends on what media it is released on.
