Makes me nostalgic for the good old days when I'd read about Jackie's latest movie in some magazine (probably Inside Kung-Fu or their short lived Martial Arts Movies Magazine) or fanzine then have to wait (impatiently) a few months for it show up on VHS in my local Chinese grocery store's video section! Speaking of Jackie in magazine articles, does anyone here happen to have any old Cinemart covers or articles they could share here? Or maybe something from Japan's Roadshow? Thanks

Cool to see such an obscure JC game, I reckon these days more people know of Hong Kong 97 But I think the most interesting thing though was seeing Thorsten actually do some martial arts. I had heard he had a Karate background, but he didn't get to do anything in Enforcer or Thunderbolt. Thanks for sharing.

I know very little about movie cameras, and I'm not overly familiar with analogue cameras. Basically I don't know, but the shape of that lens looks kind of like a catadioptric lens to me, which is a mirror based lens, so I kind of need to see the front to tell if it really is. 1

"Also thanks to his experiences on the set of “The Protector” (1985), Jackie Chan became familiar with expensive camera equipment, which he immediately fell in love with. Many photos from the set in New York show the Hong Kong filmmaker actively at the camera even back then." Whatever it was, JC certainly liked it! Filmtech - Jackie Chan’s forgotten film equipment rental company. Cool stuff!

I mean that a lot of fans always talk about Jackie and Sammo, and even nowadays, except On the run and Righting wrongs, what other Yuen Biao's movies have been highlighted by new releases in comparison to Sammo's and Jackie's ones? There are a lot of people who talk about Sammo's stunt team and Jackie's stunt team, but until this day, I never heard about Yuen Biao's stunt team, for instance. I discovered that he had one on hkmdb! I would love that some of the usual companies that release blurays of our favorite movies release also some boxsets including Yuen Biao's movies!

It wouldn't be difficult to make an argument that Yuen Biao was the most physically talented of the three but he wasn't the film maker that Jackie and Sammo were. They seemed to be much more driven to produce and/or direct movies than Biao apparently was. That being said I'd love to see Peacock Prince get a top notch 4K blu ray release from someone like Eureka! or 88 Films, I enjoy that movie's blend of fantasy elements, light humor & action, the cast, overall, was good, too. Which other Yuen Biao solo starring vehicles would you consider worthy of special attention? I don't remember many off the top of my head. Was A Kid From Tibet the only movie he directed? It was fairly forgettable, for my taste.

I'm not sure about the titles directed by Yuen Biao, but there are some less talked about movies he played in that are very good in my opinion, such as Circus Kids, The hunted hunter, Tough beauty and the sloppy slop that come to my mind at this moment. I never watched The peacock king, but it seems to me that it's the sequel or the prequel to another movie, right?
